Tony,

Thank you for the great tips. All the non-android phones I’ve had in the past had a way to alert me when the battery needed recharging with a periodic audible alert. Do you know how to turn on something like that for Android? If not have you or anyone seen a good app for that?

Hi Tony,
Nice tips indeed. I recently got X10 Mini with Android 1.6. I use all the tips you discussed here. But I have noticed some thing. Say I am killing all the background apps by Advanced Task Killer and just keep the phone in standby. After sometime, by opening Advanced Task Killer I found that some apps again started running, though I have not opened it. Such applications are Road Sync, Message, etc. Do you know why?

Hi Tony,

I’m interested in the GUI about “Settings -> About phone ->Battery use” in your article.
Not sure which handphone you use. Mine is openmoko with cupcake 1.5 installed. And the look and info are quite different.
